  the annual meeting seems to boil down to an opening talk about an "exciting new" bible museum and a closing talk about an "exciting new" new world translation.

  sandwiched in between were the wt summary, a talk about indoctrinating the children fast/furious, and some "trip down memory lane.".

  why would this "spiritual feast" seem to be anticlimactic?

  also accounts of how they "miraculously" received bibles that they didn't think they could get - eg.

  geneva bible.. now - watchtower study review as there is no meeting tomorrow..

  Perhaps they've reinforced the binding around "Song of Solomon." After all, that's the closest that many single sisters or unsatisfied married sisters will get to "50 Shades of Grey."

  ok here is another spin on the wt verses the internet argument, and this time i'm going to be pro-wt.

  i have read articles and seen graphs that show in countries that have high internet penetration, growth rates diminish.

  this is used to support the idea that the information age is killing the wt.

  Well, the Internet isn't helping WT. Just do a Google search on Jehovah's Witnesses and the first page has an abundance of anti-JW and exJW sites. Maybe a hundred years ago people would buy whatever a travelling salesman is trying to sell. In this information era, I'll pick through the reviews on Amazon before I buy a book. That's not the kind of information that helps WT.

  I guess she didn't get one of the "sister-proofed" Bibles, eh? Check to see if they changed Paul's counsel that women should shut-up and make babies. I doubt that WT took all the misogyny out of the book.
